Visceral Manipulation IV: Vascular Neurochemical Structural Treatment Seattle (Redmond), WA, June 27th, 2020, 1-Day Lab Class

      Visceral Manipulation IV: Vascular Neurochemical Structural Treatment is a continuing education class for manual practitioners who want to improve their current skills in palpation and manual manipulation and expand their knowledge and understanding of the interaction of the biomechanical function and neurochemical responsiveness of the respiratory-cardio-renal-vascular system in the maintenance of health. This amazing complex maintains long-term blood pressure, electrolyte balance, and immune response to environmental (infectious, pollution, etc) and internal (stress) factors. This class will focus on visceral mobility of vascular system as it flows through the body and specifically to organs, through fascias, with nerves, and to ligaments, capsules, and muscles throughout the body but most specifically the respiratory, cardiac, and renal systems.

     In light of recent illumination into this system, lab will be focused on treatment from an infectious and stress (both global and local) focus. A global focus on stress includes adrenal involvement whereas local stress will focus on emboli / deep vein thrombosis development. The infectious focus of lab treatment will be on the sequelae of Tuberculosis, Covid-19, and Anthrax. These latter examples illuminate how the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS) system works and breaks down which gives the manual practitioner insight into how to restore proper function or maximize function in the face of frank pathology operant with dysfunction.

     Special care and distancing will be taken to limit cross-contamination with Covid-19 including everyone will have their temperature taken at the door; will be measured for issues with pulse oximetry, blood pressure, and hear rate; be expected to wash their hands before, during and after the course; be expected to wear a mask in common areas; and must maintain physical distancing except for lab partners. It is advised that lab partners be someone that you already have as a patient or co-worker or are in close physical proximity on a regular basis such that in your clinical judgement the two of you do not pose a Covid-19 risk to each other (such as one or both of you has no symptoms, has antibodies to Covid-19, has a recent negative acute Covid-19 test, etc). Class is limited to 8-10 participants in the Live section.

     If you feel that attending the course in person is not possible, we are offering a live, online access to the entirety of the course including lab. Live questions from the online students will be taken. There will be multiple camera angles to choose from and up close video of the lab section. Please contact us for further details.

     In addition, the course will be held in Salt Lake City (South Jordan) in July.

  • Class participants will be able to:

    1) Identify, palpate and test the mobility of the the vascular system throughout the body including the chest, throat, abdomen, and extremities.

    2) Ask appropriate patient history questions that take into account new, research-based understanding of respiratory-cardio-renal-vascular system function;

    3) Demonstrate various treatment strategies such as Fascial Release, Counterstrain-positional release, Neurolymphatic and Neurovascular Techniques, and NeuroDynamic Reintegration© (NDR©) to maximize local function of the respiratory-cardio-renal-vascular system.

    4) Perform appropriate Global and Regional provocation tests of the chest, subdiaphragmatic renal / adrenal, respiratory viscera and vascular system.

    5) Apply a specific Home Exercise / Self-Treatment Program based on objectively assessed neuromuscular imbalance and somatic dysfunction.
